Making time for this iconic walk is one of my top travel tips when visiting Sydney, the first time I did this iconic walk I was during the Sculptures by the Sea Art Exhibition which is held for 3 weeks during spring and is the largest annual sculpture exhibition in the world.
The 6km walk takes between two to three hours, varying with the number of stops. However, you may choose to extend the time to explore and enjoy a swim at the beaches along the way.
Coogee Beach
Tamarama Beach
Bronte Beach
Clovelly Beach

What makes the Bondi to Coogee Walk truly special is its perfect blend of nature and history. Along the way, you’ll enjoy dramatic coastal cliffs, serene rock pools, and lush parklands. One of the highlights is Waverley Cemetery, perched high on a cliff with sweeping views over the Pacific Ocean—an impressive and peaceful spot. As you reach the end of the walk at Coogee Beach, you’ll be rewarded with a lively beach atmosphere, perfect for relaxing, swimming, or grabbing a bite at one of the many beachfront cafés. Whether you’re an avid hiker or just looking for a scenic stroll, the Bondi to Coogee Walk offers an unforgettable Sydney experience with panoramic views, coastal beauty, and plenty of opportunities to explore.
