A Relaxed Start with Scenic Views, Rainforest Discovery, and Sunset by the Sea
This late-morning tour is ideal for guests who enjoy a slower start to the day and want to avoid the morning crowds. With an 11:00am departure from Port Douglas, it’s a relaxed and rewarding way to explore Tropical North Queensland.

Begin your adventure aboard the award-winning Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, gliding above the rainforest canopy with two scenic mid-station stops. Take in panoramic views, wander the boardwalks, and experience the magic of World Heritage-listed rainforest from above.
Free Time in Kuranda Village
On arrival in Kuranda, your guide will meet you and provide a brief overview of the village. You’ll then have approximately two hours to explore independently. Stroll the colourful markets, visit local galleries, or enjoy a café lunch (at your own expense). Optional wildlife attractions such as the Butterfly Sanctuary, Bird World, and Koala Gardens are also available (entry not included).
Return via the Kuranda Scenic Railway
Travel down the range in vintage style on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, one of Australia’s most spectacular train journeys. Pass waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and the lush Barron Gorge as the railway winds its way to Freshwater Station.
Sunset Stop at Palm Cove
After arriving at Freshwater, the tour continues with a coastal drive to Palm Cove. Take a sunset stroll along the palm-lined esplanade or enjoy a drink by the beach (at own expense) as the day winds down.
Return to Port Douglas around dusk, with memories of rainforest adventures, historic journeys, and tropical charm.
