Departing at 9am, cruise to beautiful Green Island with 5 hours exploring this magnificent coral cay.
All snorkel equipment is included with snorkel, mask, and fins. You can snorkel directly off the beach,
or enjoy optional extras like a guided snorkel experience.
Cairns Reef Tours are among the most popular activities in Far North Queensland. Choose to snorkel, dive, stay dry in the semi-submarine or glass-bottom boat, or simply relax on the white sandy beach.
Full Day Itinerary:
8:30am – Arrive: Check in at Big Cat, Berth 4, Marlin Wharf

8:00am Arrive
Passengers are no longer required to check in inside The Reef Fleet Terminal. Guests travelling to Fitzroy Island can now check in directly at our vessel based at Finger A, Marlin Wharf. Guests will receive an email and SMS message the afternoon prior to their day of travel outlining everything they need to know. This includes a map of the marina and where the vessels are located as well as messaging about proof of vaccination required.
8.30am Departure
Sit back, relax and talk to our friendly team while you cruise to Fitzroy Island
9:15am Arrive at Fitzroy Island
Collect snorkel equipment, lycra suits and life vests from our friendly crew on board.
10:00am Swim + Beach Hire Activities
Keep cool and enjoy the multiple options you can hire at the Island including snorkeling, and glass bottom boat.
Want some more adventurous? Book in early for the guided snorkel tours with a marine biologist
12:30pm Lunch
Grab your cool delicious healthy picnic lunch and drink and enjoy it anywhere on the island
1:30pm Rainforest Walks
Walk off the lunch with multiple walks around the National Park including a summit walk and a short 20min walk to the famous Nudey Beach. All walking tracks on Fitzroy Island are through National Park. If walking these tracks, please do so at your own risk. Walking tracks are not patrolled.
2:15pm Swim + Beach Hire Activities
Keep cool and enjoy the multiple options you can hire including snorkeling, and glass bottom boat.
3:15pm Relax
Fitzroy Island is the perfect place to relax
3:45pm Board boat
Head back to the wharf to get ready for departure at 4pm

Walks
Some walks including the one to Nudey Beach, can be steep and not suitable for wheelchairs, prams etc, so please be advised you are walking at your own risk. Please speak to our friendly team on the island for advice on the day
Stinger Season
Between November and May each year, the water contains jellyfish stingers. We highly recommend a lycra suit to be worn during this period which you can hire . Note, if you are not hiring snorkel gear, you will need to pay to hire the lycra suits. $10 per adult $5 per child

You will receive a booking confirmation within 48 hours. Please do not book flights until your booking has been confirmed
The remaining balance is due 45 days before departure. If your booking is made within 45 days of departure, the balance will be due once your trip has been confirmed.
All bookings are subject to availability. Please note that the itinerary order may change depending on scheduling and availability.
Cancellations made more than 14 days before departure will receive a refund less the deposit payment and card fees.
Cancellations made within 14 days of departure may incur additional supplier charges.
